In January we travel to the forests of central India, inspired by the landscapes that shaped The Jungle Book, to work alongside conservationists and local communities in one of the world’s most important tiger habitats. Through art, film and daily field updates, Last Chance to Paint connects children around the world to endangered places, cultures and wildlife. Last Chance to Paint is an international arts and education project connecting children with endangered environments, wildlife, and indigenous cultures through creativity. Led by British artist John Dyer, the project works with schools, conservation organisations, museums, and community partners around the world to help young people paint what we risk losing, and to form a lasting bond with the natural world. Join us for a special festive edition of Last Chance to Paint as we travel to the Arctic tundra to paint reindeer and explore one of the most fragile ecosystems on Earth. In this Christmas webinar, children and families around the world are invited to draw and paint along with acclaimed Cornish artist John Dyer, founder of Last Chance to Paint, in collaboration with conservation charity Born Free. Together, we learn about reindeer, their remarkable adaptations to life in the Arctic, and why tundra habitats are under increasing threat from climate change.
