Land of the Tiger
Play one video each day to create a sense of adventure, so your children can 'travel' with us. If they have any questions they can still ask us, and that allows us to make it a 'live' adventure for them. The videos were shot, edited on iPad and uploaded same day 'live' from India

Day 1 (13 minutes)
In our first video for India Land of the Tiger artists John Dyer and Joanne Short are introduced to the team at the Satpuda Foundation, explore the local area and paint in a Gond tribal village deep the restricted area and heart of the Pench Tiger reserve.
Day 2 (16.5 minutes)
Artist John Dyer and Joanne Short explore the Pench tiger reserve in central India with expert ecologist Mandar Pringle from the Satpuda Foundation for the Last Chance to Paint project for schools worldwide
Day 3 (13 minutes)
Artists John Dyer and Joanne Short join conservationist Mandar Pingle from the Satpuda Foundation on a safari in Pench national park on the lookout for Tigers, but they find a Leopard! Watch the adventure and watch John Dyer paint his leopard inspired Jungle painting.
Day 4 (8.5 minutes)
Today artists John Dyer and Joanne Short visit two schools in central India to paint with children from the Gond tribe who live near to the Pench tiger reserve. Watch to see how the children paint and value their world.
Day 5 (8.5 minutes)
The Last Chance to Paint team continue there search for the elusive Bengal Tiger in the Pench Tiger Reserve of central India, but find a surprising elephant on their journey!
Day 6 (8.5 minutes)
Join the Last Chance to paint team on a forest patrol walk through the Pench Tiger Reserve. Many scats (poops) are found and we learn how these tell the rangers which animals are in the area. John smells some tiger wee, paints the forest from the lake side and we get to see the forest from above. Poop Patrol is a must watch episode of India Land of the Tiger!
Day 7 (8 minutes)
Discover a local village in India that revolves entirely around pottery, utilising the local clay soil from the river and paddy fields. Watch Joanne Short throw a small pot on a potter’s wheel, and join John Dyer as he paints a typical Gond tribe house near to the Pench tiger reserve whilst being filmed for NDTV national Indian television news!
Day 8 (12 minutes)
The Last Chance to Paint team make one last effort to track down a tiger for schools to see. Tracking the pug marks of the tiger and the alarm calls of the animals the tiger finally makes an appearance in the last ten minutes before they have to leave the dry tropical forest of Pench.
