Last chance to paint art gallery Connecting young artists to the environment

“WE BELIEVE THAT ART CAN HELP TO CHANGE THE WORLD”

‘Last Chance to Paint’ aims to build the largest ever online gallery of children’s art based on the environment and to connect all of those young minds to global environmental issues in the process.

Are you already inspired to paint, draw, collage or create based on our upcoming projects?

If you are already itching to get creative and to connect to the projects we have planned through art then don’t hold back! You can send us your very best art already and we will proudly celebrate it on our online gallery for you. We do have some terms and conditions you will need to read before submitting your art and all art must be submitted by an adult. We are looking for your absolutely best work, something you will be proud to put on your wall at home and to see online in ten years time – so make it fantastic and make it from the heart. We can’t wait to see what you do.
When ‘Last Chance to Paint’ goes live in 2019 we will be showcasing the art that is submitted to us from children around the world who are inspired by artist John Dyer’s travels and the subjects he paints. We have great plans and want you, your children and schools to be involved. If you already feel inspired by what you have seen you can already submit art to the gallery.

You can get involved with the project in several ways today

Create a world map for our gallery today

Create a world map for our gallery today

To start ‘Last Chance to Paint’ we want children, schools and families to recreate John Dyer’s map of the world. The map is beautifully drawn and features lots of great animals to paint, draw or collage. You can add additional information, words, statistics, animals, plants and people to the map if you wish, use collage, paint, textiles or any medium you feel will help you to explore climate change, environmental issues and to make a wonderful piece of art. We are really good at this! Look at the results from our last project

The children’s art shown in the jAlbum gallery below is the result of our ‘Spirit of the Rainforest’ project that we ran in 2015/2016 with the Eden Project and Survival International. Artist John Dyer painted alongside Amazon Indian artist Nixiwaka Yawanawá and produced a new series of paintings on Amazon spirits, culture and the rainforest. This is an exciting new genre of art that we will be exploring again in ‘Spirit of the rainforest 2’  which will be one of the first ‘Last Chance to Paint’ projects we intend to run.
